Day One: Walk and Visit The Windjammer
After you’ve arrived on the island and settled into your accommodations, we recommend taking a stroll down Ocean Boulevard. This is the main drag on the Isle of Palms, and it’s lined with adorable boutique shops, delicious restaurants, and beautiful beachfront property. Be sure to stop by The Windjammer for lunch or dinner – it’s a local favorite! The Windjammer is known for its great live music shows they’ve been hosting for over 50 years. Afterward, head to the beach for a sunset stroll or a game of volleyball.
Day Two: Golfing on Isle of Palms
Wake up early and enjoy a cup of coffee on your porch or balcony while listening to the sound of the waves crashing. Then, it’s time to hit the links! The Isle of Palms is home to two championship golf courses – the Dunes West Golf Club and the Wild Dunes Resort. After a round of golf, relax with a massage or spa treatment at one of the island’s many resorts.
Day Three: Explore the Park
Today is all about exploring! Start your day with a hike through the Isle of Palms County Park. This 562-acre park offers miles of hiking and biking trails, as well as a playground, picnic areas, and a dog park. Afterward, take a kayak or paddleboard out to Shem Creek for some wildlife watching. You might even see dolphins! In the evening, grab a bite to eat at one of the many seafood restaurants in town. We recommend The Boathouse!
Day Four: Relax on the Beach
Today is a perfect day for relaxing on the beach with a good book or catching up on some much-needed rest. But if you’re looking for something more active, there are plenty of options. Rent a jet ski or go parasailing, or take a charter fishing trip. You can also take a dolphin cruise or go on a glass bottom boat tour.
Day Five: Enjoy Brunch on Isle of Palms
On your final day, we recommend taking it easy with a leisurely breakfast at one of our favorite brunch spots to enjoy the best of Charleston’s food scene. Then, spend the afternoon lounging on the beach before heading back home.
