How to Fly into Isle of Palms
Charleston International Airport (CHS) is located just a few miles from the Isle of Palms, making it a convenient option for travelers. Several airlines fly into and out of CHS, including American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines. In addition, CHS offers a variety of non-stop domestic and seasonal international flights to the United Kingdom.

If you’re looking for a more regional option, several airports nearby offer flights into and out of Myrtle Beach. Located two hours away, Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) is the second busiest in the state behind Charleston. There are also a number of low-cost airlines that offer flights into Myrtle Beach throughout the summer months.
These include Allegiant Air, Frontier Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Sun Country Airlines, and Spirit Airlines. Most of these airlines offer direct flights from major cities across the United States, making it easy to find a flight that fits your schedule and budget.
Savannah/Hilton Head International Aport (SAV) is a rapidly growing airport that offers an alternative way to reach the Isle of Palms. The airport is serviced by major airlines such as Delta, Southwest, American Airlines, Allegiant, and United while also offering a seasonal route to Toronto with Air Canada Express.
Driving from the Airport to IOP
Reaching the Isle of Palms from the airport is a slight journey depending on which airport you are flying into. From CHS, it is a 40-minute drive, but the island is pretty easy to find. Just hop onto I-526 and follow the expressway and follow signs that point you toward IOP. From MYR, it is a 2-hour drive down US-17S, which takes you into downtown Mt. Pleasant where you make a left onto 517 and into IOP.
The trip from SAV is the longest but is pretty straightforward. Take I-95N to where it splits, follow US-17N until you reach Mt. Pleasant, and then take 517 into IOP.
