4th of July Isle of Palms Golf Cart Parade
Buckle up for fun when participating in the annual 4th of July Isle of Palms Golf Cart Parade. Whether you are a spectator or enter a golf cart in the parade, you will be cruising toward patriotic fun in no time. Your Independence Day celebrations kick off at 10:00 am sharp. The parade route begins at 4th & Ocean Blvd and ends at the IOP Exchange Club. Participants may begin lining up at the parade starting at 9:30 am.
If you drive a golf cart in the parade, you must have a valid driver’s license, registration, and insurance documentation. Occupants cannot exceed the cart limits, and alcohol consumption is prohibited.
Candy is handed out, so parade-goers should bring a bag. There may be a few watery tricks, which are welcome treats in the summer heat.
Mid-day 4th of July Fun
Between the parade in the morning and fireworks at night, there are plenty of hours for fun and games. Head to the beach for fun in the sun, or fire up the grill for a barbecue at your IOP vacation rental. When you book a rental with a private pool, you and your family can splash the day away!

Isle of Palms 4th of July Fireworks
Each year, the City of Isle of Palms hosts a fantastic fireworks display for all to enjoy. The fireworks show takes place at approximately 9:00 pm on Independence Day in the Front Beach area (1118 Ocean Blvd., Isle of Palms, SC). Watch as the night sky is illuminated with patriotic bursts of color. If you have never seen fireworks on the beach, this is an experience you don’t want to miss. This event is free and open to the public.
Visitors can expect the area between 21st Avenue and 3rd Sea Cabins to be closed at 6:30 pm for firework set up and preparations. Please note that all other fireworks are prohibited in the City of Isle of Palms.
