The Co-Op
Originally a small island gift shop with a deli on Sullivan’s Island, The Co-Op has spawned multiple locations all thanks to their famous frose (frozen dry rose with syrup mixers). Sporting a location on Isle of Palms, The Co-Op is a coffee shop with a fantastic atmosphere, fun options, and (most importantly) really good coffee.
Cafe Paname
Famous for their croissant sandwiches and consistently delicious coffee, Cafe Paname is a great stop off JC Long Boulevard for an early caffeine break. Open six days a week (closed on Tuesdays), Cafe Paname offers your typical breakfast fare with a chic interior and limited outdoor seating. Their french white wines are very good and quite underrated if you are looking to pick up a bottle to pair with seafood.
The Refuge
A sit-down full-service restaurant, The Refuge is best known for its new American breakfast, brunch, and coffee menu items. A family-owned small business, The Refuge has a little bit of everything to get your morning, mid-day, or afternoon started on the right foot. The coffee is always fresh and the banana foster french toast is everything and more than you can imagine.
Sea Biscuit Cafe
A traditional American cafe, Sea Biscuit Cafe has been serving eggs and coffee since 1986. Despite a Hurricane Hugo-induced setback, the Sea Biscuit has survived as a local treasure best known for its amazing service, mastery of all things eggs, and fresh coffee. Stop by to sit at their outdoor seating to enjoy the sunshine with your morning brew for the quintessential Isle of Palms beach experience.
