What You’ll find in the Park

Isle of Palms County Park is a fantastic place for you and your family to enjoy a day at the beach. Before hitting the sand, enjoy a picnic lunch on the grass in the shade of towering palm trees. There are several grill stations where you can bring burgers, steaks, chicken, or ribs and have a cookout during a gorgeous Isle of Palms sunset! There is also a snack bar and beach equipment rental station that is open seasonally.
If you’re up for a little competition, there is a beach volleyball court in between the parking lot and the picnic area. There is also a playground for the kids to play on. Restrooms and changing areas are available in Isle of Palms County Park for visitors who need to freshen up after spending a long day at the beach! Even if you’re staying in one of our oceanfront rentals, this park is a great place to hang out with your family. The Isle of Palms pier is also directly next door.
IOP County Park Hours
Isle of Palms County Park operating hours change depending on the season. Here are the three listed time slot changes:
- January through April
- 10 a.m. to sunset
- May through Labor Day
- 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- September through December
- 10 a.m. to sunset
IOP County Park closes for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Day. You can find parking in front of the park or along Ocean Boulevard.
